A Little Child Shall Lead Them
The teaching
team leader instructed the driver of the car to turn here, turn there and was taking the
team right down into the very heart of the industrial area of Charleston (S.C.) on Sunday
- an area of factories, chain link fences and empty parking lots.
They pulled over the car and stopped on a deserted street and they all prayed. Then they got out of the car and started to walk down the street, as they turned around the corner, they saw a small child of four or five years playing on the sidewalk. The leader walked up to the child and asked "Did you know that your lord and savior, Jesus Christ has come back?"
The little
child looked at him, pointed up to the sky and said " You mean Jesus?" then
jumped up, grabbed the team leaders hand and cried out "Come lets go tell
grandma,"
They followed the child behind one of the closed factories, up some stairs, and into an apartment with the child pulling the team leader as quickly as he could. Sitting in a rocking chair was an elderly white haired lady and the child exclaimed "Grandma, grandma, Jesus has come back, Jesus has come back!"
The old woman looked up, smiled , nodded her head, and said "I know this is true."
The leader asked " How do you know this is true?" and the woman replied "Didn't the Good Book say that a little child shall lead them, and didn't this child just lead you in here?"
